Welcome to the FAssets Beacon Quest! It’s designed to build excitement for the upcoming Songbird launch. In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to onboard to Galxe, find the Flare quests, complete tasks, and claim your rewards.

This campaign rewards participants for their time and effort testing the FAssets platform during its open beta phase.

Set up Bifrost Wallet

Before you dive into the Beacon Quest, you’ll need to set up your Bifrost Wallet.

1. Install or get the latest version of Bifrost Wallet here.
2. Enable Developer mode here.

You’ll also need test network funds, which you can find in the below links.

How to Get Started on Galxe

Before you can participate in the FAssets Galxe Quests, you need to sign up for Galxe. Here’s how to do it:

1. Creating a Galxe Account

• Visit the Galxe website: Go to Galxe.com.
• Connect your wallet: Choose a supported wallet like MetaMask, WalletConnect, or Coinbase Wallet.
  • Click “Connect Wallet” at the top right.
  • Select your preferred wallet and follow the prompts to connect it.
• Set up your profile: Customize your Galxe profile by adding a picture, bio, and more.

2. Verifying Social Accounts

In order to complete social-based tasks (e.g., following or retweeting), you need to link your social media accounts.

• Link your Twitter account:
  • Go to your Galxe profile settings and link your Twitter account under the “Social Accounts” section.
• Verify your Discord and Telegram accounts:
  • Join Flare’s Discord server and connect your account through Galxe.
  • For Telegram, follow the verification instructions provided by Galxe.

3. Participating in Quests

Now that your Galxe account is set up, you can participate in quests.

• Navigate to the FAssets Quest page: You can find the quests through the Flare’s Galxe profile or via FAssets Open Beta. Don’t forget to click the follow button next to the name so you get up to date information on the latest quests.
• Complete tasks: Each quest has specific tasks to complete (e.g., minting FTestBTC or joining Flare’s Discord).
• Verify: Once you’ve completed a task, claim your points on Galxe. Your points will be automatically tracked and be shown in the weekly leaderboard.

4. Tracking Your Progress

You can view your progress in real-time by visiting the quest page or your profile. The leaderboard will show your ranking and total points compared to other participants.

5. Claim Your Rewards

Weekly prizes will be distributed after the conclusion of each week’s campaign. Please allow us 2-3 days to finalize the winners’ list and process payments. If multiple participants are tied in the same position at the end of the campaign, we will use Galxe’s timestamp to determine who earned those points first. (Pro Tip: Use referral bonuses to gain additional differentiating points.)

How to mint and redeem FBTC

1. Access the Mint Screen: https://fasset-beta-minting.flarelabs.org
2. Connect wallets: Currently, only the Bifrost Wallet fully supports all operations (Mint, redeem and collateral provision). MetaMask supports liquidity provision on the Pool page.
3. To obtain an address for receiving testBTC, the user should choose “Receive” and then select “Bitcoin” in the Bifrost wallet.
4. Top up your testBTC balance (if needed): If you don’t have enough testBTC to mint FTestBTC, use https://coinfaucet.eu/en/btc-testnet or https://bitcoinfaucet.uo1.net/ which gives 0.000039 BTC per claim. We will run testBTC airdrops too during the campaign. Please stay tuned to our social media channels.
5. Select lots to mint: Click the mint button to open a dialog window showing the maximum number of lots you can mint based on your BTC balance. Enter the number of lots you want to mint (1 lot = 0.0004 BTC).
6. Choose an agent: When minting, you’ll see a list of available agents, complete with their names and vault addresses. The best agent will be selected automatically. Please note that the agent you choose in this quest does not affect the points you may earn.
7. Confirm the Transaction: Confirm the minting transaction in your connected wallet. Wait for the minting process to complete, which usually takes 1 hour to receive the requested testBTC due to the one-hour Bitcoin confirmation time.

How to provide collateral

1. Access the Pool Page: https://fasset-beta.flarelabs.org/pools
2. Navigate to the ‘All Pools’ section and look at the available pools.
3. Ensure your FLR wallet is connected, as you’ll need to use them for collateral transactions.
4. Top up your CFLR balance (if needed): If you don’t have enough CFLR to provide collateral, use https://faucet.flare.network/coston.
5. Select the agent and determine how much collateral you wish to provide. Click on “Deposit” button to provide collateral
6. Confirm the transaction.
